| In
their third year together, Sunspring released Poppy as their
only full-length album. Despite the groups distorted and dissonant
style, the recording process invited pop sensibilities and clean tones.
Produced by Mike Baker (Telephone Man), the album has a few interesting turns, such as the first four songs which are continuous. The 12 songs are a mix of material from all periods of the bands existence, and it was the group's final release. After Sunspring disbanded, singer/guitarist Scott Ritcher formed Metroschifter. |
